We’re now halfway into the semester and it’s time to celebrate! On the 9th of November, we will award the propaedeutic diploma to all students who have finished all their first-year courses. It will take place from 15:30 – 17:30 on the Spanish Stairs in Wijnhaven.

About the Event

We’re now halfway into the semester and it’s time to celebrate! On the 9th of November, we will award the propaedeutic diploma to all students who have finished all their first-year courses. It will take place from 15:30 – 17:30on the Spanish Stairs in Wijnhaven. It is organized by Astus and Urban Studies and to illuminate the occasion, we invited two external speakers to give a talk about:

European Urban Policy making:

Multilevel governance in Action?

The Programme will start with a word of welcome by Urban Studies’ chair Dr. Miko Flohr., Martin Grisel is the Director of the European Urban Knowledge Network and will share his deep insights and abundant experience with European Policy making on urban issues. Dr. Elena Bondarouk who is a Scholar in EU Policy Implementation at Leiden University’s Institute for Public Administration, will discuss the Policy Implementation at local level.While the EU initiates ambitious sustainability policies, the local governments eventually can make or break those. To conclude, Dr. Alistair Kefford – who is the Chair of the Board of Examiners – will award the diploma’s.
